The Formation House in Cameroon has officially opened after the lockdowns, marking a joyful new beginning for the community. Four new candidates have joined the basic formation programme, and a new member has also been welcomed to the formation team. The Formation House now has a total of 18 students. To celebrate the opening, one of the students, Yong Emmanuel, composed a beautiful poem that captured the spirit of hope and renewal shared by everyone.
New Year, new beginnings, hearts anew,
In formation house, dreams pursue.
With faith and love, we gather here,
To grow, to learn and banish fear.
May our hearts be open, minds be bright,
Embracing challenges day and night.
With hope and joy, we will start this quest,
And find our strength in each other’s best.
Through trials and tests, we will stand as one,
Supporting each other till the day is done.
With brotherly love we will face the test,
And emerge stronger and truly blessed.
May wisdom guide us, love inspire,
As we journey, hearts on fire.
And grow in wisdom day by day.
With every step, we will find our stride,
And our bond as brothers will abide.
In this journey of formation, we will find our voice,
And discover our purpose, our heart’s choice,
With faith and courage, we will take the lead,
And shine our light for all to see.
May our hearts be shaped, our spirits renew,
As we walk this path with faith anew.
May our time in formation house be blessed,
And may our lives be a reflection of our best.
With gratitude we will look back on this year,
And cherish memories held dear.
May the lessons learned and love we have shared,
Guide us forward with hearts prepared.
