Basankusu, DR Congo: Bishop Joseph Mokobe Ndjoku Pays Tribute to Fr Harry Reusen
In a letter addressed to Fr John Kirwan MHM, Bishop Joseph Mokobe Njoku writes:
Good evening, dear Father John and thank you for your message about the death of our dear Father Harry REUSEN, mhm. You warned us about it.
This sad news reached us from Kinshasa yesterday, in the afternoon, by a telephone call from the Rev. Patrick LONKOY.
And from yesterday evening, we passed on it via our diocesan radio “Lisanga Bomoi” which covers a large part of the Diocese. I am sure that tonight the news is circulating everywhere in this particular Church where our dear Father Harry has given a large part of his generous and dynamic missionary life: in Yalisele, Bolomba, Basankusu… Starting tomorrow, we are going to fix our “matanga” (wake) program.
We join in the prayer, in Hope, of the Dutch MHM Region, of the entire Congregation of Missionaries of Saint Joseph and, particularly, of all our former missionaries of Saint Joseph to ask the Lord to welcome Father Harry in his House of Eternal Peace -R.I.P.
We are indebted to you in the Faith, dear Father John and we are happy to see the growing number of young people of our particular Church embrace the missionary life of the MHM. The seed sown has fallen in the good ground!
With the assurance of our fraternal communion I repeat to you, to all our former missionaries and to the TRP Superior General DR Congowith his Council as well as to the biological family of dear Father Harry, the condolences of all the Family of God who are in Basankusu.
Fraternally,
+Joseph Mokobe Ndjoku.-
