The Catholic Bishop of Buea Diocese in Cameroon has condemned “in the strongest terms” the killing of innocent civilians after a bus they were traveling in was attacked in Muyuka, a locality within his Episcopal See.

On September 6, suspected Separatists fighters opened fire on a bus belonging to a local transport company killing at least six persons.

In a statement shared with ACI Africa Friday, September 9, Bishop Michael Miabesue Bibi says he “learnt with deep sorrow and pain about the gruesome killings of people in the afternoon of Tuesday 6th September in Muyuka and the early hours of Wednesday, 7th September 2022 in Buea.”
