Today, 12 October, we join in solidarity with our sisters and brothers in Cameroon as they take part in a crucial national election. Amid hopes for peace and unity, the nation faces rising political tension and deep concerns over security and stability. Millions of people continue to suffer from the effects of insecurity, lockdowns, harassment of civilians, and the severe disruption of daily life, with many struggling to access basic and essential services. As the country votes, we hold in our hearts the wish for a peaceful and fair election that brings renewed hope to all Cameroonians.
