The guests and friends of Fr. Glenn Dumali arrived early in the morning of October 28, 2020, at the Parish of Saint Joseph the Worker in the town of President Roxas, Capiz, Philippines to attend and to witness his ordination to the Order of Priesthood.
When the celebration was about to begin, the frontliners in white uniform assembled in their designated places to help guests in observing the Covid-19 protocols inside and outside of the church building. The celebration started on time (9:30 am). Fr. Benny Quinto mhm presented Rev. Glenn for ordination to the new Cardinal Elect, His Eminence Jose Cardinal Advincula. Some of the normal rubrics of ordination were modified to observe health protocols. In his homily, Cardinal Advincula told the now Fr. Glenn to steadfastly rely on the heart of Jesus as he carried out his mission of loving and serving, Amare et Servire. After the celebration of the Eucharist, Fr. Benny read the appointment of Fr. Glenn to the Diocese of Lugazi, specifically in Mbikko Parish in Uganda. The newly ordained thanked everyone for supporting him and coming to his ordination.
On the afternoon of the same day, Fr. Glenn presided at his first mass of thanksgiving. Six of us Mill Hill Missionaries concelebrated with him together with his very supportive parish priest, Fr. Ramil Bigcas and his mentor and homilist, Fr. John Lusa. In his homily, Fr. Lusa mentioned how he knew Fr. Glenn and how missionary determination will help in having successful missions of loving and serving. Once again, Fr. Glenn thanked everyone for joining him in the celebration of his thanksgiving mass.
