Casay, Philippines: Joyful Re-Opening of Schools

It took more than two years for most schools in the Philippines to return to traditional face-to-face classroom instruction. The students were then used to the blended learning mode using tele-education gadgets and modules. In Saint Therese’s High School Inc. in Casay, Anini-y, the academic year is commenced by the school opening mass (Red Mass), the blessing of classrooms, and Bible enthronement in every classroom.

One could sense the joy of the students and teachers in seeing face-to-face once again.  More striking in this school year’s opening is the emphasis on spiritual preparedness and combat in facing the threat of Covid-19 pandemic infection.
