The representative of the Holy Father in Cameroon has called upon members of the Clergy ministering in the country’s Diocese of Mamfe to be agents of service and champions of fraternity amid violent conflicts that the Cameroonian Diocese has witnessed for years.
In his Thursday, February 22 speech during the celebration of the Silver Jubilee of Mamfe Diocese, Archbishop José Avelino Bettencourt thanked the Clergy for their ministry among the people of God in Mamfe, cautioning them against despair.
“Never grow weary when things do not turn out the way you worked so hard for them. Know that everything is providential, and God will always provide in his own time,” Archbishop Bettencourt said during the Eucharistic celebration that was held at St. Joseph Cathedral of Mamfe Diocese.
