Kinshasa, DR Congo: Official Installation of Fr Marius Tapang Tendongue MHM as Parish Priest
On Saturday 30 April 2022, the Parish of St. François de Paule in DRC celebrated the installation of Fr. Marius Tapang, MHM as their Parish Priest. The Bishop Vincent Tshomba was the main celebrant. There were some priests from our deanery and the Diocese of Basankusu as concelebrants. Fr. Marius is the first Parish Priest of this newly created Parish. In fact, it was erected as a full Parish on the 1st of September, 2021.
The Installation of Fr. Marius is an indication of laying a solid foundation for the Mission of the Mill Hill Society in Kinshasa. The progress of the Parish has boosted the faith and trust of the Archdiocese; they are open for us to take up more parishes within the archdiocese.
We congratulate our brother Marius for accepting to take up this task and pray that he can walk fearlessly on the synodal path, as the Holy Father urges all the priests to make the Church “a hospitable house, with open doors, inhabited by the Lord and animated by fraternal relations”.
May we all be inspired by the spirituality of St. Joseph.
Happy Feast of St. Joseph.
Patrick Lonkoy Bolengu, MHM.

Truly a wonderful moment for our Mill Hill presence in the Archdiocese of Kinshasa. The strong foundations laid by Marius and Patrick and in the early days by Otto, will stand our Society in good stead as we plan for the future. There is much hope as we journey together. GS
