East Africa: An Update from the Regional Superior

It has really been an unpredictable time for all of us and we thank God for keeping us safe till now

We are experiencing total lockdown in Uganda. All inter district movement is prohibited and so too every little activity that congregates people. There is partial lockdown in Kenya especially Western Kenya. A few of our members were infected but thankfully they have all recovered. The situation continues to be precarious so I urge members to take more care and keep safe.

This year we as East Africa Region of Mill Hill are privileged to have our first African Silver Jubilarians as Mill Hill Priests in the persons of Rev. James Juma and Rev. Ephraim Ohdiambo; ordained Priests on August 1, 1996. We heartily congratulate them! This is the beginning of many celebrations to come.

As Mill Hill Missionaries, we hope to have a celebration together with them on AUGUST 4TH 2021 in Luanda with a few of our friends and some family members. We kindly invite all members with hope that the lockdown will be over to join in the celebrations. We cannot organize this in January during our Assembly because they both can’t make it back again home. They will also have family celebrations on 1st August which is the exact date of Jubilee. Let us continue to keep them in prayers during this time.
