Former Queen’s Chaplain Dr Gavin Ashenden has spoken about his decision to leave the Anglican Church, saying it was due to deep concerns over its direction on faith and doctrine. He explained that he could no longer remain in a church that, in his view, was moving away from traditional Christian teaching and biblical truth. Dr Ashenden said the decision was made after much prayer and reflection, and that he has since found peace and unity in joining the Catholic Church, where he feels a stronger sense of faith and continuity with Christian tradition.
