Dear All, We have sad and joyous news to share about Fr. Len Kofler RIP.
Sad because he has left us for a better place. He died Sunday morning very gently, serenely and peacefully you could not ask of a better passing on to the Lord.
He had been ill for the last 5 weeks and knew he was dying the last three weeks. He accepted this with a peace and serenity only to be admired. He had so many dreams for the next several years including writing a book on the mystical journey next year for the 40th Jubilee. But he lived it instead of writing it he lived so positively the mystical journey he teaches and was an example to us all. A little while after he died a shaft of sunlight came into the room and shone directly on his face and it was so beautiful and then a little later it disappeared.
We are happy because here is a beautiful life fulfilled, his aim was always to help people. About two weeks ago he said to me I became a priest because I wanted to help people and this emanated from his deep spirituality. Then he said I think I have done that and I assured him he had greatly done so. As his first parish priest told him ‘you, are a hound of heaven’. He was a truly exceptional person that we have all had the honour and privilege to know and love. He is I am sure now with the Lord and the Blessed Trinity, whom he loved to remind us, that, the Trinity is living in each of us. For this reason, he decided to wear a tie when giving lectures, to honour the Blessed Trinity living in the tabernacle of himself and to remind himself of this. We give praise and glory to God who has fulfilled one of the first questions in the “penny” Catechism. “Why did God make me? God made me to know him, to love him, and to serve him in this world (which Len did with exemplary generosity) and to be forever happy with him in the next.
I am sure Len will be interceding for us all and particularly for the Institute of St. Anselm he has continually developed over 40 years in his great missionary passion to help people to be able to live their vocation with great love and fervour for the Church and beyond. The future of the Institute of St. Anselm is assured by God and I am sure a strong intercessor Len, will assist us going forward.
As we have experienced His Providence will always lead and guide us.

The nearest station is Acqua Acetosa. When you arrive at the station face the direction the train is heading for and then go out of the exit to the left of the station. When you get to the road turn to your right as you come out of the station. When you reach a T junction turn right again keep walking for 15 minutes till there is a sharp bend follow the road around the bend and we are on the left.
