Pray with us
The first and most natural way to support the missions is to pray for them. It is not a lesser kind of help, offered to people who cannot give money. In the Society’s understanding it comes first, not last, and it holds the rest up. Pray for our missionaries, and for the communities they walk with. You are warmly invited to join the annual Novena to St Joseph in March, and to send in your own intentions, and to know that you are remembered in our Masses, in life and after it.
Give
For most supporters in England and Wales, giving begins with the Red Box. It sits in well over two hundred thousand Catholic homes, filled a coin at a time and collected by someone from the parish, and we have shared it with Missio, the Church’s own mission charity, for the better part of a century. If you do not yet have one, your parish can help, or you can give to the Red Box online instead.
You can also give directly, as a one-off gift or as a regular one. A small amount given steadily, month after month, is worth more to the work than its size suggests, because it lets the Society plan and promise rather than hope. Most of what comes to Mill Hill goes towards forming and sending the next generation of missionaries, around two hundred of whom are in training now, most of them from the very countries the Society once travelled to.
If you would rather your gift went to a particular piece of work, you can choose one. The Society runs named appeals, for a school in Pakistan, for education in conflict-torn Cameroon, for the training of missionaries, among others, and you are welcome to give to whichever speaks to you.
Remember us in your will
For some supporters, the last and quietest way to take part is a gift in their will. It is a way of letting the faith of a lifetime carry on doing good after that lifetime is over, and for an older supporter it can be the most meaningful gift of all. There is no rush and no obligation in thinking about it.

The Society also takes part in a free Will-writing service for its supporters, so that the cost of making a will need not be the thing that stands in the way.
