On 26th October 2026, the faithful from 17 mission stations of St. Jude Busaana Catholic Parish came together in thanksgiving to celebrate six years since the parish was established. The Eucharistic celebration was led by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Walakira, Dean of Kayunga Deanery. During the celebration 146 children received the Sacrament of Confirmation, strengthening their faith through the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The celebration also included a moment of joy when one couple exchanged vows in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony — the first wedding in the parish this year.
As part of the Parish Day celebration, we held a fundraising event to support the construction of a new parish church. Parishioners and invited guests took part with generosity and enthusiasm towards building our new church.
The day ended with a shared lunch, a lovely bond as one parish family. We thank Mill Hill Missionaries from Jinja Formation House and Mbikko for joining the celebration. Special thanks to the pioneer missionaries of St. Jude Busaana mission for their service.
As we journey together forward, we remain grateful for the past six years and are full of hope. May St. Jude continue to intercede for us as we grow in faith, love and service. Amare et servire.
