In many of our mission areas, a special summer camp for children is held every year. This camp is a time for children to learn about God, grow in their faith, and enjoy fun activities with other children through prayers, songs, Bible stories, games, and creative activities that help children understand God’s love.
Today, many children face challenges that can make it hard for them to know God’s love — child labour, media, and a world full of distractions. But just like in the Gospel of Matthew, where people brought children to Jesus and He welcomed them with open arms, we are reminded that in such event like summer camps, children are precious in God’s eyes. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them,” showing us that every child deserves the chance to grow in faith. In our time, this call is more important than ever. We must create spaces, where children can feel loved, safe, and close to Jesus.
