Mill Hill House, Bamenda, Cameroon: Passing the Baton

After a stint of close to nine years as the the Rector of the Mill Hill Central House, Foncha Street, Bamenda, Cameroon, Fr. Arnold Verhoeven, the outgoing Rector, officially handed over on Saturday 4th July 2020, to the incoming Rector, Fr. Anthony Ndang Ndichia.

Mill Hill House, Bamenda, like any other Mill Hill Guest Houses in the Mil Hill world, is a home for members with a particular mission of Hospitality and Service to the Society members and other guests who are involved in the mission of the Society. In Cameroon, the Mill Hill House, has been a true home for members serving in Cameroon, those originating from Cameroon who are on mission outside the country and Mill Hill members visiting Cameroon.

During the difficult and challenging times of the Anglophone Crisis in the English speaking regions in Cameroon, members serving in Cameroon have come to experience Mill Hill house as true home, where they come for a good rest from the troubles of mission, to be renewed and refreshed before embarking back to their mission. At the height of the Anglophone crisis it has also been a place of refuge for our members who have experienced violence and insecurity in the far-flung mission areas.

As Fr. Arnold hands over to a new and young Rector, we thank him for the Loving Service of Hospitality and care he offered to our members and visitors. We wish Fr. Anthony all the best as he takes on added responsibilities, beside taking the office of Rector he continues to double as the Director of Friends of Mill Hill and Vocations Director.  May God bless him in the new office of Service to our membership and Society.

Fr. Richard Njoroge mhm
