Mill Hill House, Kampala: Community Involvement

The Mill Hill Missionaries House Kampala has embraced the faithful from the nearby communities. As the community grows, subsequently the need for the Children to receive Holy Communion and Confirmation. It is a blessing that we know experience normal life after COVID-19. For the children this year it had taken quite journey to teach them and prepare them for both first holy communion and confirmation.

For twenty (20), of the children of Mill Hill Christian Community, 26th March 2023, was the moment they had been waiting for, to receive the Sacraments of First Holy  Communion: 12 of them and, 8 for Confirmation. The function was graced by the Papal Nuncio to Uganda His Excellency Most Rev. Luigi Bianco.

The First Holy Communion class had the excitement of finally completing the catechism classes which enabled them, to understand the real presence of Jesus in the bread and wine that is offered at the altar, transformed into the Body and Blood of Christ by the Priest.

It was the day the Lord had made, parents, friends and other relatives were invited at the Mill Hill House – Nsambya to join in the merrymaking as our children received the two Sacraments.

It was such a holy and joyful occasion, as some the children were ready to partake of the Holy Eucharist for the first time and for others becoming defenders of the faith.
