Mill Hill Missionary General Chapter Set to Commence

Today, Saturday 21st May, participants in the 19th General Chapter of the Mill Hill Missionaries will be gathering at the Milton Hill House venue in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

Fortunately none of the delegates arriving from overseas have experienced visa problems. But a Covid-19 infection is preventing sr Catherine Ryan, the Chapter facilitator, from being present at the start of the proceedings.

On Sunday Richard Ounsworth OP will lead the assembled capitulants in a day of prayer and recollection. We pray for the gift of wisdom, vision and discernment under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

It will be a special day also because the beatification of Venerable Pauline Jaricot will be celebrated in Lyon, France on that day.

On Monday, 22nd May, the Opening Mass will be livestreamed from Our Lady and St. Edmund Church in Abingdon at 10 o’clock in the morning (British summer time).  You can join through this link: https://www.ourladyandstedmund.org.uk/live-services
