Today, Saturday 25th May, Fr. Joseph Boekema MHM joined the exclusive club of Mill Hill Missionary Centenarians.
‘Our Joe’ served as a missionary in Cameroon for the full length of his active life, functioning as vicar general and confidant of the late archbishop Paul Verdezekov for a considerable number of years.
Our local mayor, Mrs Agnes Schaap, fittingly came to grace this memorable occasion with her presence.
