Paul de Schipper, Mill Hill Missionary Friend, Tells Bishop Paride Taban’ Story
Dutch author Paul de Schipper wrote the book ‘Taban, the Peacemaker’ after observing the life of Bishop Paride at Holy Trinity Peace Village in Kuron, and in the communities surrounding the village which the Bishop founded to unite the country’s warrying tribes.
It was the Mill Hill Missionaries that linked De Schipper with Bishop Paride, the author says, and explains, “As a journalist I mostly went to bad-news-spots, from where people were running away. Coincidentally, in these places, I often met impressing last beacons of humanity, like the Mill Hill Fathers who made my first contact with Paride possible.”
