Fr. Gabriel Barasa, a Mill Hill Missionary working in South Africa, shares this message about important work being done to promote justice, peace, and reconciliation. Through the efforts of the Sodality of St. Anne, a recent convention was held to address challenges like Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in families and to promote peace in homes, the nation, and the world.
Our work in South Africa focuses on promoting justice, peace, and reconciliation. Recently, the Sodality of St. Anne held a convention to address important issues like Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in families. The event also aimed to encourage peace within families, the nation, and the world. Special attention was given to building peaceful families as a way to promote God’s values in society.
The convention took place in Durban, South Africa, from December 8th to 13th. Key leaders included Fr. Sipho, the Diocesan Chaplain, seen on the left, and Fr. Mpho and I, who serve as Regional Chaplains for the St. Anne Sodality.
The Sodality of St. Anne plays a vital role in strengthening marriage and family life. It encourages service to families, the Church, and society. By fostering strong, peaceful families, we hope to create a foundation for justice, peace, and reconciliation in our communities and beyond.
