The Lord’s Prayer Sung in Aramaic

We have learned this prayer sung in Aramaic from a Syrian bishop in Jerusalem. We have recorded the video at St. Mark’s house in the old city of Jerusalem. We use the Western Syriac Aramaic dialect, the one used by Syrians today in their liturgy.

Abwoon d’bashmaya
Netqaddash shmak
Teete malkutah
Nehvwey tzevyannach aykanna d’bashmaya aph b’arha
Havlan lahma d’sunqananan yaomana
Washbwoqlan haubvayn aykana daph hnan shbvoqan l’hayyabayn
Wela tahlan le’ynesyuna. Ela patzan min bisha
Metul dilakhe malkuta wahayla wateshbuhta l’ahlam almin
Amen
