The month of June – the month of the Sacred Heart.
Midway through the year – so much in the air.
Wars, accidents, deaths, saints – the month of June, half through way the year.
Where, on what should one focus?
On the Sacred Heart – drawing near to the Heart of the Saviour;
The Heart, the Symbol – the Mystery,
The Love, the Agony, the Sacrifice – the invitation of the Saviour.
The month of June, a time to tune – back to the Sacred Heart,
Our first, our last, our lasting love.
We wander far, but homecoming always draws us back –
To wonder on the Mystery of the Sacred Heart.
The month of June – for fathers, for the Blessed Trinity, for Corpus Christi, for martyrs!
One cannot but choose – one must keep choosing between Christ and the world,
Between faith and fame, between fun and fight, between good and evil,
Between love and hate, between life and death – between transitory and eternal truths.
Month of June, the month of the Sacred heart – Month of Jubilee against all odds:
Sweet heart of Jesus make us know and love thee,
Unfold to us the treasures of thy grace,
That so our hearts from things of earth uplifted,
May long alone to gaze upon thy face.
Sweet heart of Jesus, bless all hearts that love thee,
And make thine own the hearts forever blessed,
Bless us dear Lord and bless the friends we cherish,
And keep us true to Mary and to thee.
Sweet Heart of Jesus we implore,
Oh, make us love thee more and more.
