He was more than ordinary
not merely a priest,
but a shepherd of souls, a guide, a gentle former of hearts.
He was more than ordinary
not simply a friend,
but a father to many, a mentor whose wisdom shaped lives.
He was more than ordinary
not only a voice that spoke well,
but a missionary who gave, and a benefactor who loved without counting the cost.
He was more than ordinary
he was faith made visible,
love poured out,
sacrifice quietly lived.
A living saint among us
holy in his ways,
humble in his steps, a true missionary
faithful to the very end.
All who met him carried something away
a touch of grace,
a listening ear,
a heart that understood without judgment
and embraced without hesitation.
In him, we glimpsed what it means
to be truly human
crafted in the image and likeness of God.
Now the earth mourns your absence,
while heaven rejoices at your coming.
Your work here is done, the earth will miss you
but the heavens welcome you with a greater mission
to stand before God,
to intercede,
to remember us still.
Papa Fons,
pray for us.
Your Son Innocent
