The Global Young Members Meeting in Nairobi concluded with a joyful celebration as Petererick Mwenda from Kenya and Joseph Tusiime from Uganda made their Perpetual Oath, committing themselves for life.
The ceremony was presided over by Fr. Michael Corcoran, MHM, General Superior of the Mill Hill Missionaries, joined by Fr. Bernie Luna, MHM, Councillor for Asia, and Fr. Charles Okata, MHM, Rector of the Second Cycle Formation House in Nairobi. Members of the Mill Hill community, together with participants of the Global Young Members Meeting, joined in prayer and thanksgiving as the two students made their lifelong commitment to the Society and its mission of proclaiming the Gospel.

The celebration marked a fitting conclusion to the international gathering, which brought together young Mill Hill Missionaries from across the world for prayer, reflection, fraternity and ongoing formation. The Perpetual Oath was a witness to the generosity and dedication of Petererick and Joseph as they entrusted their lives completely to God’s service through the missionary charism of the Mill Hill Missionaries.
The Mill Hill Missionaries give thanks to God for the vocation of Petererick Mwenda and Joseph Tusiime and ask the faithful to keep them in prayer as they begin this new chapter of lifelong missionary service to the Church.
